National Tourism Cluster “Bulgarian Guide” invites you to the Info Day in Bulgaria to provide local tourism Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with information about the upcoming StarGrowth funding initiative in the field of rural and ecotourism.

The StarGrowth Open Call is targeting tourism SMEs lagging in terms of sustainability performance, digitalisation, as well as innovative practices and solutions, and to those that are more advanced, to facilitate knowledge transfer and exchange of good practices among them, and to promote business cooperation.
In order to be eligible for funding, SMEs must meet certain criteria. Specifically, SMEs must be established in an EU member state and operate in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Romania, or Slovenia. They must have at least one completed financial year and operate in “predominantly rural regions” or “significantly rural regions / Intermediate”, according to the Urban-rural NUTS 3 typology. Furthermore, they must have economic activity related to the tourism sector in one or more of the following three categories: Hotels and similar accommodation; Holiday and other short-stay accommodation; Camping grounds, recreational vehicle parks and trailer parks.
Through this Info Day, participants will gain information on the StarGrowth project, as well as the ability to participate in the open Call Announcement published within the framework of the project. SMEs who are interested in applying should make sure to register before the event to ensure that they fully understand the eligibility criteria, grant size, and types of eligible activities and costs.
